The educational objective of this program is the associate of applied science degree. The vocational objective of the Microcomputer Applications Degree Program is to prepare students for employment utilizing the microcomputer. Hands-on experience with currently popular business programs is emphasized as well as business and accounting applications. Graduates can assist in administrative office applications, network administration or obtain certification as a systems network engineer by passing the Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) examinations, which can be administered on site. Depending on the area of concentration, graduates are prepared to accept positions as management assistants, network applications assistant, automated office managers, network administrator, systems director, and network engineer.
