The Medical Assistant program provides an underlying foundation in all aspects of medical assisting skills involved in direct and indirect patient care. This includes examining room procedures, medical lab procedures, pharmacology, medical transcription, and emergency health care in addition to various clerical skills, communication skills, records management, and typing. Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and medical computer applications are also included in the program.
