This program prepares individuals for challenging medical office careers in the health care industry. Students master front office skills such as keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, medical records management, and insurance and coding procedures. Emphasis is also placed on communication and computational skills. Graduates may seek positions as administrative assistants in doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, and other health care facilities. This program is designed to be completed in a minimum of four quarters, depending on the student's class load.
